Splenda is one of the best non sugar substitues, at the grocery stores now there are many things that have no real sugar. There is sugar free colas for just about every cola, there is tea, coffee, juices.

I am Diabetic and I drink a lot of Crystal Light. I like the Lemonade the best. Their ice tea with lemon is good. I take a gallon jug of spring water and pour out a cup or 2 and add 2 little tubs of Crystal Light and shake it up and put in the fridge. I also buy the Great Value sugar free drink mixes. They are the sames as Crystal light but are less than half the price and it is the same thing !!! I take a tub of the Great Value Cherry and a tub of Great Value Lemonade and mix them together in a gallon minus a cup or 2 of water and shake and put in fridge. It is very good and refreshing. You can mix and match your own favorite flavors. I don't drink much soda. But I like Diet Code Red Mountain Dew the best !!! Diet Rite Black Cherry Cola is great also and it has no sodium or caffeine either !! The Great Value Drink Mixes come from Wal Mart. :-)

You can drink a lot of vegetable soup. Thin vegetable soups supply less calories. Obese persons are encouraged to take large quantities which would fill up their stomach and give them a sense of satiety.
Tea or coffee are permitted but milk and sugar are to be regulated at minimum.
Unsweetened drinks like soda are not restricted.

Well, there is diet soda, which generally uses nonnutritive sweetener, as well as any number of mixes (such as crystal light) which also use nutrasweet or other sweeteners which cannnot be metabolized and thus don't really count as sugar.

unsweetened ice tea, unsweetened coffee, diet soda, all do not have sugar in them.
There are some that use a sugar substitute, which may help you.
