Is this going to be boy-girl party or just the girls..???
Anyway... you can do a theme for everyone like a beach party in the yard, a pic-nic party, a one color theme party or even a dress up party like prom night and have lanterns across the yard...
But what you really need is good food, great music and the best of friends to share it with....

You can choose a theme and go with that or you can just invite friends over and hang out....
As for games: limbo, karaoke, dance contest, spin the bottle (and have stunts prepared), scavenger hunt, break a piñata or even have a painted face contest (u provide the paint).

have fun....!!!

If its a good old no-alcohol party with up to 20 teens, it will be easy.
Eat/Drink:
- about 30-60 375mL cans of softdrink (coke, sprite, red bull if you can afford it) or 15 1L bottles
- heaps of chip packets
- packets of lollies
- If you parents are up for it, Party Pies or Mini Sausage Rolls that they can cook while you are outside
- a few pizzas (not too many though)

Games:
- If boys and girls, there's nothing wrong with a good game of Spin the Bottle but don't let it go too far, and make sure everyone is comfortable with playing
- Truth and Dare
- Eggs can always be fun, just don't let them go inside
- If you have a pool, set up a net and play a ball game or Marco Polo or just Tag or something
- Twister
- DVDs. If there's a way you could bring your TV downstairs, bring some sleeping bags down and watch the dvd from the grass

You could have a scavenger hunt-divide the party into groups, first group back with the list of items wins...A twist on this is using a digital camera. Each team takes pictures of the things on the list (person walking a dog, etc ).

Food items-pizza, subs
Smoothies made in a blender are always popular.
Music
Slip n-n slide
Sprinkler

Good Luck-Have fun!!!!

Oh, another fun game-cut out pictures from magazine-tape on the guest back. They have to guess-am I a male/female, famous actor, singer-etc?

Well, If its a party with a lot of people, you might want to crank up the music and dance in your yard then do "team" sports and whatever team wins gets to dump water on the other team or something. Make sure you have lots of food. Also, if it's a small party, and if you like to do spa sort of stuff, paint each others nails, have a contest :P, also divide into teams and have all the girls see who can give someone the best hairdo. :D
Whatever you do, have fun!

well if you have money to spend for the party. go to a hotel for the night and stay in the hotel. you can have fun swimming and messing around. but if you cant do that. a really fun game is to take 2 eggs for every person at the party and make half the eggs hard boiled and half of them raw. then put them all into the table and have every person take 2. and smash them on their head and hope that you dont get the raw one. this is a really fun game but it can get a little messy.

Easy enough!!! Teens want only a few things!!

Food~ I would recommend figure foods and pizza
Music ~ Have your child make a CD of his/hers favorite music to play all night.
Decorations~ Tiki lights , Hanging lights, Chairs laid out for everyone to sit in.

Finally PRIVACY~ They don't want to play games, they just want to hang out without the parents sitting there. Move the party outside. Check in everyone once and awhile. Take more food out , the key to look like you are not snooping.

This sounds like your childs first teen party so ask him/her what they want. Give them options, they will appreciate it. After talking to my 16 year old he wanted to take friends to play laser tag npt a big party like I was planning.
