yes actually , mono always stays in your system. My doctor tested me for mono, I didn't have it, but she could tell that I had it before.

I've had mono 4 times. People like to say you can only get in once like chicken pox but I've had chicken pox twice and mono 4 times. It's all about your immune system.

Once you have mono it is always in your system, lying in wait for you to become vulnerable with stress or illness. 99% of doctors will tell you that you can only have acute mono once. I have a kid who has CAEBV (chronic active EBV, the virus that causes mono). He gets mono repeatedly. The only way to confirm that EBV is the culprit is with a blood test that compares IgM, IgG, early antigen, and nuclear antigen. An infectious disease specialist can tell you whether or not the combination of antigen levels constitutes, chronic, new, or old EBV.

Yes. Your body always has mono. I had it when I was 12 and at least once a year I will get sick again.

No you can only get Mono once. But if it was a particularlly bad case it can so drain you physically it can take you a very long time to not feel run down.

Watch your nutrition you might want to add a daily vitamin and add Vitamin C too. Get plenty of rest.

Unfortunately, yes. The virus never leaves your system, like the virus that causes chicken pox and can cause other problems later on.
