I want to have a Super Mario Bros. theme party for my son's bday but can't find any decorations. Any suggestions on where to buy or creative things to do?

If you have a yard or space large enough you could set up and obstacle course that plays like a level in the game. Things to jump over.. pipes to crawl through...Have boxes with "?" on them filled with water balloons or bean bags .. have targets to fire at... collect things along the way...like something inside the tunnels/pipes... something hanging where they have to climb up to get it....
If you have a nintendo system .. set up a corner where kids can play Mario games... Do your activities in small groups...
Play a rescue the princess game.... maybe like hide and seek.. have some one go hide and every one look for them... or have princess cut outs ( pictures) not too small. Hidden around the party area.. who ever finds the most wins a prize...
For loot bags I would use the "?" idea again. You can either make for fins small boxes.. ot just use paper lunch sacks.
For food the regular stuff works.. sandwhiches..hot dogs ..all that... for the cake, if you cant find a baker that can make you a licensed Mario cake .. and if You can pull one off your self one idea would be to make cupcakes and decorate them with green and red icicng whith white dots .. make them look like power up mushrooms from the game.

Get some tortillas and some shredded cheese that is a blend of mozarella and mild cheddar. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut a star shape into one tortilla. On the other, smear a little pizza sauce and spread some of the cheese. Top that with the star tortilla and bake until toasty. Power Up pizzas! (I didn't think this up- I saw it on I can Has cheezburger once.)

You can always try ebay for decorations.

Depending on the age of the kids, why not try an obstacle course that reflects aspects of the game?
