retaining water ask your doctor for lasic and it will help your body get rid of the water. your doctor also needs to check your blood to see what your creation levels are to see how well your kidneys are working.

I can mean a lot of things, and I'll bet it wasn't a doctor using the term :). 1) They could be retaining water. 2) As most diabetics, especially Type II's, are overweight and pretty grossly out of shape at times, it could be referring to that. (And I'm diabetic, so I can say these things, 'cos they're true.)

I believe you mean puffy. I am also diabetic(2) and I take a water pill along with other meds, and I still get puffy,especially as the day wears on. It might be a Circulatory Problem, or Varicose Veins.You did not specify where the puffiness is.Let his Dr check him out, it could also be serious.

I'm on a daily HCTZ to release water. I also stopped taking Avandia as it did poof my ankles at night. I stopped when I read the latest news about it.

It could mean swollen.
That look could come from having Cushing's syndrome.It effects many people with diabetes.

don't know babe!! what meds are you on? if actos or avandia it is water retention and you need to see the doc immediately.

I got poofy on actos and quit taking it. the poofy ankles went away.

I hae never heard this term before unless this means you are swollen. i have not really noticed about that. but when one is unconscience its not good but doesn't look poofy? i am not sure myself.
