For my baby girls first birthday I am having a 'sweet' theme. Examples include: A cake in the shape of a giant cupcake, a cupcake tower, candy....

What I need are suggestions for food! I want it to be 'sweet' themed, like Baby Back Ribs in SWEET bbq sauce...stuff like that. Any ideas?

** And please everyone, dont leave me comments about how she is only 1 year old and will not remember her party, or how this is mainly for me...I know that already, thanks!

my daughter's first Bday is sept. 1st... happy b day to you little one.... yes the b day is mainly for you.. i hate when people say that she wont remember so why bother!... just remember to take lots of pictures

mini egg rolls with sweet and sour sauce
Sweet tea ( ice tea with sugar)
sweet corn
sweet rolls ( cinnamon rolls)
the sweet baby ribs are a good idea
sweet potato pie ( not thanksgiving but its a try)
sweet fruit salad
you can make a spinach dip and put it in that round bread but cut the top out in a shape of a heart
those sweet potato fries sounded good too
i hope some of this helps!.....
i have 14 days and counting to our bash!

you kno that MtV show. My super sweet sixteen? well you can got to the website and watch episodes. look and see what others did and try basing your party around one of those parties. it doesn't have to be expensive even if you see a theme you like then you can go to your local party store and buy things for that theme. Good luck.

Since you are doing "sweet ribs", what about sweet potato fries with sweet coleslaw ( slaw with a little added sugar ). You could also serve baked beans sweetened with maple syrup.

Maybe do things that you find at a carnival like, kettle corn (be careful) ,cotton candy, or candy apples.
