I accidentally ate some chili with beef in it and I had an instant gag reflux and threw up in my car. It wan't very fun at all. It's funny that someone mentioned gettiing dizzy and having headaches after becoming vegetarian because I was the exact opposite. I used to pass out all the time and had horrible headaches that never went away. I can only recall one time since I have been a vegetarian that I passed out and it was from dehydration. My doctor said the reason I was passing out before was because I suffered from anxiety due to high cholesterol and high blood pressure and an artery leading to my brain would contract during these periods of anxiety and would cut off oxygen to my brain in an attempt to calm me down. He said the vegetarian diet lowered my cholesterol and blood pressure. I just think it's strange that someone had the exact opposite thing happen.

I tried to be a vegetarian quite a few times before I was sucessful. The first few times I ran out of things to eat. I think I lack imagination. THen I found this forum and got on to the websites and was truly amazed and its been easier much easier. There are 1000s of websites and recipes that are vegetarian and vegan and I experimented and got lots of ideas. I love vegan wolf wensite and the vegetarian society. Also my partner eats meat and my children although love eating different vegies love sausages - I dont eat red meat anymore.

Also adding red meat back into the diet can make you feel really sick because its a different texture.

I don't think there's anything that would make me eat meat again.

My sister in law used to be vegetarian. She says she quit because she was living in Spain, she didn't know any other vegetarians there and people acting like they never even heard of it. She thought it was so inconvenient that she just gave in and started eating meat. I don't really understand her rationale, but I guess we're not all the same.

I still stick to my vegetarian diet but once in a great while I will grill some chicken and take off all the fat. Sometimes fish is good, but once in a great while. I try to buy at the Whole Foods Market. It gives me a change of pace.

I added meat back because I was constantly getting dizzy and lightheaded. At that time I had lost too much weight, so the meat helepd me gain it back. I only ate chicken, but that was more than what I had before. And the meat didn't stop the headaches or dizziness.
