I like Scots Pines and Dave S answer. You may have an allergy trigger in your home causing the chronic sinusitis. Common allergy triggers are

Pet hair
Dust and dust mites
mold mildew

Make sure you wash your bedding on a regular basis. Vacuum your carpets regularly too. Wash your hands every time you come in from outside. Do not let pets sleep in your bed.

You may want to use a normal saline nose spray to help clean out your nose. This is basically a salt water rinse for your nose and sinus cavities. I do it in the shower because it sometimes makes me gag or cough. It will help get the thick snot out of your nose.

Have you ever tried using a neti pot? If you don't know what that is it's a little porcelain pot that looks somewhat like a magic genie lamp. You fill it with a mild saltwater solution, put the spout in one nostril, tilt your head and gravity forces it through your sinus cavities and out the other nostril. I know, it sounds gross! My wife bought one of these a few months ago and I laughed at her. She has sinus issues as well. Since she started using this thing she has not had any problems for over 6 months. I was intrigued, so I did a little research on them. The idea behind these is that the solution washes out any pollen, dirt, or any other impurities from your sinus cavities that causes irritation. One article I read said if done right before bedtime it will reduce snoring also. I thought what the heck I'll try it. It felt kind of weird, but not uncomfortable. I was amazed! I didn't snore nearly as bad. I no longer wake up with a dry mouth or stuffy nose. I am a firm believer now! You can buy these online and at some drug stores for around $25. You might want to give it a try, it sure cured my wife's sinus troubles.

Deepak Chopra's book, "Perfect Health" explains natural ayurvedic treatment for just about everything that ails a person. You clearly have a kapha imbalance.
A neti pot is an excellent idea, but following a kapha diet keeps the infection from recurring.

As a long time suffer also, try hot and spicy foods. Horseradish on a sandwich, or making "tomato tea" (tomato juice, teaspoon of garlic and hot sauce) will help sometimes.
