Depends what you like. I like Silk Vanilla in the shelf box, not the kind sold in the refrigerated section. The shelf kind is less sweet than the refrigerated kind. Plain is generally not easy for me to drink, and Asian soy plain is very hard for me to drink. They all taste a little different because of the amount of sweetness they use. Trader Joe's vanilla is even thinner than Silk.

I also like Almond Milk (vanilla more than plain), and rice is okay. You have to realize they all taste different because most go beyond just plain. Plain Asian soymilk is soybeans and water, and I always had to put sugar in it. All the other brands have certain levels of sweetness usually from sugar cane.

Keep trying other brands. I liked the Silk Chocolate soymilk. But if you don't like stuff that tastes like milk, maybe you should just use it in baking and cooking and to wet your cereal.

8th Continent soymilk is not vegan, as it has a lanolin derivative in it.

I like Asian brands of soy milk. Also rice milk such as Rice Dream is good. But I guess if you hate milk, you should just drink orange juice and other non-milk-like drinks. They have orange juice with calcium and vitamin D now.

Try almond milk or continent 20 (or was it 50?). They seem to do well and are more like milk than a sweet milk. Also, avoid Vanilla flavored ones because they are often too sickly sweet.

soy milk is a good alternative to normal milk. my sister is a vegetarian and has soy milk on her cereal every morning - she is used to it and likes it heaps . personally i dont really like it, but why not give it a try?
Soy milk (esp organic) is great coz it's free from pesticides and all that bad stuff. also i think it tastes better!! :)

Soy milk is great, even though I didn't like it too much at first, now I love its taste, and always use it, instead of cow milk. Try it!

I like Honey and boiling water in cereal, not a big milk fan.

Maybe give it a go?

I use soy milk for my cereals. And I prefer to use coconut milk when cooking.

I personally like SoGood, but everybody likes different things so you can just buy two, three different brands and taste test them.
