I'm a vegetarian (well, pretty close, I only eat fish) and it really doesn't bother me when an animal has to kill another animal to survive. Animals do not waste so much, or kill in excess. I don't like how people eat animals when they are unnecessary for survival. People can live just fine without meat. There's no need to kill as many animals as are killed, or for them to be slaughtered in such cruel and inhumane ways.

personally, I'm less of a vegetarian d/t to animal torture and mostly a vegetarian bc/ the animals live in their own poop and are pumped with hormones over which there is limited control and quality standards. Plus, I feel better when I eat my veggies. So, no - not in the slightest offended. As a matter of a fact, I would eat meat if I knew it was free-range, no-hormone and was killed humanely and since I can't really know for sure if that is the case - I don't eat it.

I’m a vegetarian, and personally I won’t make a big deal out of it. Vegetarians who are vegetarians because our beilief is animal rights and welfare are opposed to eating meat because of the UNNATURAL torture and murder of animals in factory farmsm while an animal eating another animal to survive is natural. It’s sad an all, butnot getting upset about something like that wouldn’t contradict our vegetarianism. ☺

I don't enjoy it but it doesn't hurt me because I know that is part of life and that animal was designed to be prey for that preditor. Humans are not carnivors or omniovours. We are scientifically designed to eat plant matter only. The chemical linning in our stomachs is not desinged to properly break down meat which is why is stays in our system for day trying to decompose. I eat what nature intended me to and that is a vegetarian diet.

Well i think it is a bit sad to see an animal being torn apart by another animal, but i just think... well animals don't understand that what they are doing is hurting other animals, they are just following their instincts. on the other hand i just about cry if i see a dead animal on the road, a poor creature gone! and the person who hit it didn't even have the decency to take it off the road. and i also disapprove of people eating meat... don't they understand, they are basicaly murdeering poor animals.

I try not to watch that, as I do get upset, (even though I know its their only way to survive) but not as much as when a person eats animals

I actually do.
But I have even before I was vegetarian.
I even feel bad, seeing my dog or other people eat meat. But I know it's un-healthy to make animals be vegetarian. Also it's just as bad as having people tell me not to be vegetarian as it is to tell them to not eat meat. So I try and not think about it. =] And when I see that stuff on TV I just change the channel.

No I don't.

I don't get upset when animals eat animals, I don't get upset when meat eaters try and force their opinions on me, I don't get upset when people are cruel to animals and i don't get upset when fanatical animal rights people whinge and moan at me.

I'm in control of my own mind and my own emotions, I don't allow anything thats outside of my own mind to effect me in any negative way.

I go out of my way to stay informed about all manner of things regarding my own mind and body and as a result have decided to eat vegetarian.

I do all that i can, I lead by example and don't purchase things that i think are immoral and hope that others will find their own path and do likewise, ill share whatever knowledge i have with anyone who asks.

But im certainly not going to get 'upset' about things that are entirely out of my control as that would be futile.

There's a big difference between a lioness going out and killing a gazelle to feed the pride, a crocodile killing a wildebeest, or any wild animal killing another animal to eat and people breeding animals and mutilating them, cramming them into small spaces, injecting them with antibiotics and hormones, trucking them long distances, and then killing them for human consumption.

no.

I'm a vegitarian

they'll think it's gross, but they don't get offended by it

it's the fact of humans killing animals for meat, when we clearly are able to live without it (those animals need it to survive)

I'm not saying that we would eat them for survival, because second to the fact that we shouldnt harm animals for our personal gain, meat is gross.

It's inhumane, and cruel.

We don't need meat, just wait till your done growing, so it's healthy to stop eating mean, and if you have kids, start them out as vegitarians from day one

they're bodies will adjust, and they will grow up more healthy that babies who eat meat. thoose babies are more fat, oily, and gross.

and to the first answerer, your retarted, whats wrong with you?

no one has to think about it, it's common sense.

it's the fact that we're eating meat and animal's flesh, not something SHAPED like an animal.

thats offensive, and it's getting old, i mean, that "joke"'s been around for a while now.
