I don't qualify for medicaid unless soc ssec decides i am disabled and even though i have applied, it can sometimes take years to get a decision. also, i have asked both my primay and cardiologist for samples and they don't have any.

Your hope for free plavix is answered today. With TGA Registering a generic version here in Australia. Pending litigation from the originator, you will be able to buy the generic version that'll be launched by GenRx-Apotex.

I read an article about pharmaceuticals and how they are priced. Pharmacies basically have free reign over what they charge so they will up the price according to local supply &demand. It can GREATLy vary from store to store. It also said 1 of the only places to get your meds at cost is at 1 of the 2 Bulk shopping Clubs I think it was Sams club. It said you do not need a memborship to get your prescription filled there. I never bought meds there but it's something to look into. I remember reading the price charts and some drugs selling for $100 might sell there for $10.It sounded too good to be true but iyt was not an advertisement. I hope this is of some help, 1 basset freak to another!

I'm sorry for your medical troubles. That's no fun.

Check out this website: https://www.pparx.org/Intro.php

It's purpose is to help make medications more affordable. There's an online test to determine if you might qualify.

You also might try talking with your cardiologist about obtaining free samples of Plavix for awhile.

Maybe you can talk to your pharmacist. They might know of some programs in your area that can help you to be able to pay for your medications. Good luck.
