I am having a pool part but my drive-way is getting re-done at the same time I didnt know about this till AFTER I invited everyone any ideas to make the party fun..?

sounds like they'll have to go through the house to get to the backyard. maybe you have a long hallway or a direct route to the back door. decorate it so your guests don't get lost or wander. you could do something fun like a lighted walkway like at the movies... or hang beaded doorways so that they follow through each and end up outside.... maybe some bare footprint cut outs taped to the floor or stepping stones...
the idea would be to direct them DiRECTly OUT of the back door, lol

Designate a way to get to the party and avoid the driveway. Get ( or make ) paper bag luminaries to make a pathway to the party. Make sure to keep them lit all night, so guests don't forget on the way out. Of course you will have the driveway blocked off..right? Note: make sure you space the luminaries far apart ( width wise ) for 2 people to walk side by side.

If you have a back gate, put a sign out saying come into through there. Swim and have a bbq. That's pretty much all I can think of. If it is a teen party, play truth or dare or spin the bottle. Those are always fun!! :)

have a separate path that helps direct all the guests away from Ur driveway
but put cool decorations up so it doesn't look weird
