It's likely that people go through this @ different rates, depending on their previous diet, metabolism etc. In my case, it seemed to last about 2 weeks. It was an interesting process & not really uncomfortable.

With most detox plans, it takes 3 months. So maybe a similar time with the diet switch?

Hmm....I felt completely fine when I turned vegetarian 10 years ago, and I was a big meat eater who could finish an entire chicken in one sitting! If you're concerned about the detox process, try taking lots of fruit juices to help with the tiredness. Also, do remember that a vegetarian diet is often lacking in protein and vitamin B12, so do consider supplementing your diet with a multi-vitamin, as well as take adequate amounts of peas, legumes and beans for your protein intake.

Yes, it is true. My body took about two weeks but I was only eating chicken before but I do know someone who only ate red meat and it took her about a month to detox.

A few days to a few weeks to longer. Depends on the body. On an unrelated note, if you are thinking of going vegan, make sure to take b12 vitamins. (You're body can't function once you run out of that vitamin, which is found almost exclusively in animal products. In fact, while you can buy supplements from non-animals sources, their content is notoriously unreliable. I know because I have this vitamin deficiency, and it is very serious)

Took me about four days till I started on my way up... if that's what you mean... haven't had a lul since... It's like my metabolism just goes bzzzzzzzzz... all the time... I just always want to do something now... if I wasn't married to a TV watcher... I'd have long since gotten rid of it.

The body must have protein - meat
or beans and lentils to substitute.
Do not detox the protein from your body.
