"With that they called them and charged them, nowhere to make any utterance or to teach upon the basis of the name of Jesus. But in reply Peter and John said to them: “Whether it is righteous in the sight of God to listen to YOU rather than to God, judge for yourselves. But as for us, we cannot stop speaking about the things we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:18-20)
Methods have changed over the years as to how we speak about Jehovah and his Son Jesus Christ but the love for both of them is still there always.
What method did we have before books and what many methods do we have today? What methods did we have back in the 30's etc.? The door to door method has worked the best so it needs always, be first at all times, because we get to see people face to face and therefore understand their needs more clearly. But do we not feel the end right at our door to the point we are sick at heart, not more people take note of the times? What other methods can we use wisely before the end?

All you brothers and sisters in the faith, do we not hear the blind answers being given here, of those who have no idea of what they are talking about? Does it not just make your loving heart sick what Babylon the Great has done to people's minds and heats? We do not need to answer ever statement made here, to see just how little people know about the Bible and its true meaning or message and how near we really are to the end. That is why this Yahoo Answers is so interesting because, we hear clearly people in honest truth have no hope coming from Babylon's many churches. These are people we are not as likely will find at home at their doors because they are here on the internet. If they ever become our brothers or not, they are getting a witness just the same. We must pray there is still good prople here too. May some talk to our brothers in the faith the next time they come to their doors. Sad so many will not take note until it is too late. But we are clearly free willed of choices.

SUPREMACY OF GOD'S LAW
"Primarily, however, the legal record of Jehovah's Witnesses has been a testimony to their conviction that divine law is supreme. At the root of the position they have taken is their appreciation of the issue of universal sovereignty. They recognize Jehovah as the only true God and the rightful Sovereign of the universe. They therefore firmly take the postition that any laws or court decisions that would prohibit the doing of what Jehovah commands are INVALID and that the human agency that has imposed such restrictions has EXCEEDED ITS AUTHORITY. Their stand is like that of the apostles of Jesus Christ, who declared: "We must obey God as ruler rather than men."-Acts 5:29"
From jv chap. 30 p. 699 'Defending and Legally Establishing the Good News'
People do not know or care that the Sovereign and only true God Jehovah opened up the door for people to come to know him if they just want to. But he will not force anyone to do so. They have to want to! fact!

There are nearly SEVEN MILLION ministers of Jehovah's Witnesses who preach regularly about the good news of the Kingdom (or, "evangelize").
There are perhaps seven million specific combinations of motivation among these Witnesses, and nearly all of them are pleasing or tolerated by God and Christ. To suggest otherwise is to ignore the bible.
Glorify God
...(1 Peter 2:12) As a result of your fine works of which they are eyewitnesses glorify God in the day for his inspection.
Action of holy spirit
...(Romans 8:9) God’s spirit truly dwells in you
...(1 Corinthians 2:12-13) Now we received... the spirit which is from God... These things we also speak, not with words taught by human wisdom, but with those taught by the spirit, as we combine spiritual matters with spiritual words.
Love for God
...(1 John 5:3) For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome
Work with God
...(1 Corinthians 3:9) For we are God’s fellow workers
...(1 John 5:9) If we receive the witness men give, the witness God gives is greater, because this is the witness God gives, the fact that he has borne witness concerning his Son
Love for Christ.
...(John 21:17) [Peter] said to him: “Lord... you are aware that I have affection for you.” Jesus said to him: “Feed my little sheep.
Fear of God.
...(Revelation 14:7) Fear God and give him glory
...(1 Peter 2:17) Be in fear of God, have [and speak] honor for the king.
...(Acts 13:26) Among you who fear God, the word of this salvation has been sent forth to us.
...(Hebrews 12:28-29) Acceptably render God sacred service with godly fear and awe. For our God is also a consuming fire.
Fear of Christ
...(2 Corinthians 5:11) Knowing, therefore, the fear of the Lord, we keep persuading men
Friendship with Christ
...(John 15:14) [Jesus said] You are my friends if you do what I am commanding you
Christ's command
...(Matthew 28:19) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations
Christ's headship
...(Ephesians 4:15) But speaking the truth, let us by love grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ.
Love for Neighbor.
...(Romans 10:14) However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach?
Enjoyment.
...(Psalm 40:8) To do your will, O my God, I have delighted
Remain qualified for salvation
...(Philippians 2:12-13) Keep working out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for God is the one that, for the sake of his good pleasure, is acting within you in order for you both to will and to act.
Sense of fulfillment
...(John 4:34) My food is for me to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work
Eventual reward
...(1 Corinthians 3:8) Each person will receive his own reward according to his own labor
...(Ephesians 6:8) You know that each one, whatever good he may do, will receive this back from Jehovah
Self-defense
...(Hebrews 3:13) Keep on exhorting one another each day, as long as it may be called “Today,” for fear any one of you should become hardened by the deceptive power of sin
Refute troublemakers
...(1 Peter 2:15) By doing good you may muzzle the ignorant talk of the unreasonable men

You said: "These are people we are not as likely will find at home at their doors because they are here on the internet."
New Jehovah's Witnesses come to my door about every 6-8 weeks. I will often invite them in my home to speak with them, our conversations lasting for 30-60 minutes or more.
One thing they are always surprised to read are a collection of past teachings by the Watchtower Society concerning when "the end" will occur. 1874, 1914, 1925, 1975, 2000 ... yet nothing happened on those dates. The organization has a 100% failure rate when it comes to biblical interpretation and setting dates for end times events.
As a Christian, a don't share these quotes to hurt them, but rather to let them be convinced in their own minds that the Watchtower organization cannot possibly be God's only earthy spokesman today.
Yes, I agree that Jesus is coming soon for the faithful, and to judge the wicked, but it's clearly not through the teachings of the Watchtower that we will be made wise. It is through the Bible alone.

I hear you. Yes, it is sad. So many people just don't want to open their minds for a second. But, there are others here who might. It's a difficult message for people to understand, and one never knows what one might say that will lead somebody toward the right path. I'm still not baptized, but I've studied off and on for years. I wish I could remember what my friend said to me, but I remember feeling as if a veil had been removed from before my eyes. I finally got it, and nobody could rain on my parade for several days. Sorry, got off track. Other methods for spreading the good news? What about writing letters? Pretty time consuming, though. I think you're right - in person is best. Just hang in there. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither mourning, nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. I know that you know where that comes from.

The end is not near. Your sense of urgency is just a ruse your Organization uses to keep the publishing house well funded, by using you as unpaid magazine salesmen (I know, you don't actually ask for money, but you sure are required to buy them with your own money, correct?)
Relax and have a frosty beverage. Take up a hobby. Get to know your neighbor (who isn't as evil as you're being led to believe).
Life is good. Enjoy it!
Edit: Does "simplifying your life" include not contributing to your own retirement? be careful about that.... you could end up working two jobs when you're in your 80's... by not preparing financially for your old age now.

wussupmang - Thats wrong. The bible was not changed to support the Watchtower, because theres many other Bible translations that supports the Watchtower renderings of the Bible. Faith without works is dead
James 2:20
20 You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?
You cannot say you're automatically saved by not practicing Gods commandments.

Kent Shakespeare above said: "People have been prophesizing the "end" for thousands of years; they're wrong every time."
This is interesting in light of what the apostle Peter wrote: "For you know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires and saying: 'Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.'"

To predict the behavior of ordinary people in advance, you only have to assume that they will always try to escape a disagreeable situation with the smallest possible expenditure of intelligence.

1 John 4
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that[a] Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
Watchtower changed the bible to fit their demonic lies. Read an accurate translation and believe that God is Jesus and that you are not saved by works but grace alone.
