http://www.weblife.org/humanure/ is a copy of the book online. I've read it, I thought it was a really in-your-face book that made many good points, and I couldn't really find anything wrong with the concept. I just wanted to know what others think.

I haven't read the book, but from what I've read in other sources humanure requires very special handling. This article discusses the author of The Humanure Handbook and the book and gives some general info about what humanure is. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/04248/373164.stm

The Humanure Handbook seems to be THE book to read about this practice.

I haven't thought of it. You'd want to compost for a very long time though, to prevent the spread of disease. Since I have a septic tank instead of city sewer lines, I guess I'm fertilizing my lawn with it.
