I dated someone for a little while who had genital herpes. I also have genital herpes though, and HPV, which I have for 6+ years.
I've dated several guys over the last 6 years though and ALL of them knew I had both viruses before we had sex (if we even had sex). My longest relationship was with a guy for almost 4 years and he didn't care I had the viruses. He also never even contracted genital herpes from me. Since there is no test to detect HPV in men it's pretty much impossible for him to know if he contracted HPV from me though.
Right now I'm in an almost 2 year relationship with my fiance and he could care less that I have genital herpes or HPV. He loves me for ME, viruses and all.
A lot of people say they would NEVER date a person with a STD. But, if they actually got to know someone and started to truly care for them, then they can usually look past the STD and see the person for who they are, not what they have!
Take care!

Honey if you are sexually active, you probably would test positive for HPV. Did you know that HPV is highly contagious and condomns rarely protect you from it. It can be transmitted simply by touching.
You should always protect yourself regardless. Sexual relationships are possible with Herpes and HPV. Please educate yourself. It is also possible with AIDS, but much more complicated and risky.

I wouldn't be in a sexual relationship with them yet. But, if you are meant to be, then in the future I wouldn't be totally opposed to it.
