asker - I agree that if you ever have concerns about your heart, your best bet is to go see a doctor who can physically examine you and run an EKG. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to make an accurate diagnosis based on two lines of information. BUT, I don't think you need to rush to an emergency room AND I don't think you need to panic. Some of these answerers, including a supposed doctor, are suggesting that your sharp chest pains are probably heart related.

The good news is that heart pain is usually not sharp. How old are you? Do you have any health problems? The most common cause of sharp chest pains in otherwise healthy young people is something called "precordial catch syndrome". This is pain is actually related to your chest wall. Usually, people describe the pain has happening suddenly. It feels like a sharp knife in your ribs. It is typically worse when you try to breathe in too far or out too far. Usually, it only lasts a few seconds or so and then disappears. If that sounds like your "heart pains", then it is almost certainly not anything to worry about.

Your back pains are probably not related, but it is hard to know without being able to ask you more questions. Again, your best bet is to make an appointment to see your doctor. But do not panic. From what you've said, I hear nothing that suggests a life-threatening problem. Obviously if something else happens and the pain doesn't go away or becomes unbearable, then you should see someone more urgently.

I had the same condition like yours for many years (since i was 18 years old). The doctors told me that nothing is wrong, but i still felt the pain. Ten years ago, i start taking Co enzyme Q10 100mg once a day, It worked, pain is gone, and now i take one bottle every 6 months

Yes this is a sign of heart problem or coronary artery involvement, or are you taking too many stimulants, if no, than take an early appointment with a cardiologist or if pain gets worse report to an ER, or call 911 or local help line.
