People ask vegetarians and vegans if they think about the 3rd world countries when they eat, and I'm not sure if anyone else does, But I certainly do. Cause I know that if people stopped demanding as much meat as they do, then all the grains and food given to the animals to eat, and most are suitable for humans to eat too, then we would be able to send all the extra food to third world countries. I mean I'm not saying anything bad its just that if nobody ate meat, or at least cut down on meat, then world hunger would end. && Also Like. If nobody ate meat then the oil in the world would last 260 years longer. So jaa. Whatever. Thats all I have to say.

Well why waste it?
I mean only the idiots would do that, no?
The ones with no brains and too dumb to use it for good will?

I can see you are well intentioned but your logic is flawed

The world is not so intensively farmed ( YET ) that there is NO spare grain to give to third world countries. there is spare at the moment but countries ( people, governments, companies - take your pick on who is to blame ) CHOOSE not to feed the 3rd world.

Long term you are right, the population growth is unsustainable on a meaty diet. it takes far too much resource to raise a cow for beef. sooner or later we will have to more intensively farm cows ( god help them ! ) or people will have to have less beef in thier diets.

We have pet cows and arable fields and i can clearly tell you that the land required for one cow can feed 1,000 people on veggies.

but if people stopped eating meat we wouldn't suddenly send all the grain to the 3rd world. there is spare at the moment and we just waste it

EDIt "why waste it"...errr thats the American Subsidy system that Americans vote for...So, when looking for "idiots" to blame, look to those that vote without lobbying against stuff they disagree with. All parties support the subsidy system so if you vote, you vote FOR it. So, where shall we look for the idiots now ????

Grain grown under subsidy is torched if not used in the subsidy chain so a high grain price is maintained when selling to 3rd world countries. Dumb ? Absolutely. Support by ? Just about every voter in the USA

Sorry, but "thinking" about world hunger while you are eating not going to solve anything, you need to learn how the system works and go and fight it.

once you're hungry, you will consume something! that is effortless sense in case you desire to proceed to exist. If no longer, then you certainly're a dumba$$. besides, the warriors (troops) interior the army easily consume dogs, bugs, raccoon, etc.

I bet the LEADERS of those third world countries are chowing down juicy steaks every night. Why don't you ask the leaders of those countries to feed their people instead of blaming it on everyone else.

Call me selfish or whatever, but third world countries are the last thing on my mind while I eat - I'm either working while eating, reading, doing homework, or conversing with my boyfriend...and our topics of conversation aren't about third world countries.
