Glasgow, UK. I am thinking of getting a solar powered water fountain. Any ideas in terms of price and aestethics? Also wondering whether I can cultivate frogs (to eat slugs) in a fountain?

There are lots of places that sell solar powered pumps and fountains in kits. Like this site.

You could also find a pump (DC would be easiest) that you like and then design a system to supply the amount of power it needs.

I would go with a kit just to save the hassle and because they have been tested for the application already.

As far as raising frogs you could do it but it would be difficult to make sure the frogs stayed in the area. Unless you build a small barrier around your fountain and area where you want to control the slugs.

the romans have a fountain like that. this is interior the piazza and that i can not bear in mind what the call is although. the fountain works on kinetic capability and tension of water. Your fountain will might desire to paintings on a pump gadget with a water wheel to coach the pump to bypass the water to a factor greater effective above the fountain so gravity and water tension flow the water out of the fountain and returned to the pump uphill and... i've got faith the fountain in rome would not recycle its water although. Yours will very almost truly might desire to.
