It depends on what kind of cuisine they serve. I'm a big fan of analogues (you did mean a mock chicken, didn't you?), I confess. And I'm lucky that a lot of omni places here have really good analogues. At Asian-type veg restaurants, I always order some type of stir-fry with a mock. At a local Indian place, I frequently get this awesome chole (chickpeas) dish.
Now, I just wish there were a vegan diner nearby.

Some sort of a crispy chickenesque thing - doesn't really matter what.
The Veggie Grill (all vegan) in Irvine, CA has a crispy chick'n sandwich I'm dying to try. I don't usually go for the fake meats - I'm over eating meats and don't really feel the need to replace them as much as I did when I first went veg. But if I could have a sandwich with something crispy in the middle...that's sounding really good!
I also could go for a vegan pizza I don't have to make myself.

Chicken isn't a vegetarian dish! A vegetarian restaurant will have some suprisingly tasty dishes--it is after all restaurant food. Off hand I can recommend some outstanding grilled sandwiches with cheese, tomato, avocado, sprouts, hummus and more on whole wheat of course.
