The doctor did a physical exam and then put some acid on them to remove them.....I have to go back in a week to get them checked again. What should I ask about them when I go back? I asked about my partners vuneraliblity.....and she told me to use a condom. But my partner would not get cervical cancer from the warts! (PS: I am a male.)

No, you're right, your partner can not get cervical cancer from your genital warts because the kinds of HPV that cause cervical cancer are different from the kinds that cause genital warts.

However, you CAN be "carrying" a kind of HPV that CAN cause cervical cancer which can cause your partner to develop cervical cancer if she contracts the virus from you. Men can "carry" a kind of HPV that can cause cervical cancer if a female contracts it from them.

If your partner is a male (you never really said in your question), then he can NOT develop cervical cancer because he obviously does not have a cervix.

Take care!

The types of HPV that cause cancer in women don't cause visible warts. They are much more microscopic and practically a different virus all together. The ones that cause "warts" are unsightly but not the cancer causing kind.

I would simply ask her why your warts don't cause cancer. And just for general precautions, I'd have your partner take the vaccine for the HPV.
