I was just curious if PETA had local groups that meet.

No, PETA is based out of Norfolk, VA and members are sent information regarding action updates and information on who to send letters to. Members of PETA have developed groups within their community to conduct peaceful protests, leaflet, or conduct educational demonstrations but these acts are supported solely by the individuals and not monitored by PETA itself.

My local chapter of PETA (people eat tasty animals) meets every other Thursday night at Smokey Bones. They have pretty good BBQ.

not really, they just stage heinous animal slaughters a couple times a year and then go protest some random thing a few times film the slaughter and put it on their web site along with all the "great things" they did with their protest, other than that they just sit back and rake in the money, that idiots all around the country keep sending them.

They did at one time. I think today they only have activist networks for doing protests, outreach, and other PETA-initiated networking, activism, etc.
