Jalapenos release endorphins, which are the bodie's "feeling no pain" chemicals. The reason hot peppers are a part of the diets of people living in unpleasantly hot climates is that they create a sense of well-being and relief from physical displeasure. That might carry over into dreams...

I don't know about jalapenos, but eating a lot of acai before bed can sometimes give you dreams similar to an LSD experience.

I am from Mexico and I can tell you that the person that told that jalapeños give you good dreams was lying to you.... Instead... it can give pretty bad dreams!!! (indigestion, heartburn...etc.)
So...nope, it is NOT true.
¡Saludos y buen apetito!

That might be a "cultural thing." There might be some truth to johnnizzan's comments about endorphins, though.
