If you have lost 76 lbs., I hope you are keeping up with your doc, to see if you still have diabetes. When people lose alot of weight, (ONLY with type 2) sometimes their pancreatic function is enough to handle the glucose. (Fat stores glucose and worsens diabetes).
Do you need to lose the 50 lbs? I am just asking if you are still 50 lbs. over a healthy body weight. A dietician or nutritionist could help you get this last goal finished!
By the way, congratulations on the weight loss. This is a tough journey, and very few stick it out. Good job.

Congratulations on the weight loss that is a triumph within itself. I am glad you are working out this is great! Have you reviewed your eating regiment? what are you eating? The key to losing weight is what you eat and of course exercise which is what you seem to have down. What are you doing when you exercise? and for how long? I know that everyone says 30 minutes but if you have type 2 diabetes you may need to make your workout sessions longer maybe 45 minutes at the minimum until you get to your ideal weight. Try different exercises so you don't get bored. Have you thought about hiring a personal trainer? or taking kickboxing classes at your local gym? or even a strip tease class ;) There are many different things you can do at a gym: treadmill, elliptical machine, bike, or a fun class I hope this helps and I wish you health and lots of weight loss.

I don't know if my advice will be helpful, sorry, but my dad is a diabetic and I have heard excersising helps a lot, and also eating sugar-free. Eating whole grain foods is also good. And you can also watch calorie-intake and eat small meals like 5-6 times a day. I don't know if this helps or not but I hope it does and congradulations on losing 76 lbs! You are doing fantastic so far! Keep up the good work =)

Congratulations!! Your body adjusts to what you do. You need to trick it by changing your exercise. It can be a slight change like if you walked for 30 minutes, add a run every 5 minutes for 1 minute. Or instead of your normal cardio, change it to a different cardio activity. You may also need to decrease your caloric intake more. You may be eating calories to sustain your current weight and may need to decrease it again because you are thinner now and need less (especially to lose more). Way to go on your 76lb loss and best of luck on the last 50.

change up your exercise routine a little as well as your diet!! Maybe you are eating more carbs or not enough protein!! You should not have a lot of carbs if you have dm anyway. Talk to a registered dietitian about it!! Have them do a meal plan for you. It is really good that you are taking steps now to fix this or you will end up insulin dependant, blind or with very poor circulation in your limbs.

Try the Mayo Clinic Diet or 6 week body makeover by Micheal Thurmond. The latter provides MUCH more variety to meals.

Your medical condition is not something to play with or to depend on Yahoo for answers!! You need to be working with a diabetic educator.....no exceptions!!
