A friend of mine brought over some cookies for a get-together. She said they were completely vegan. They were the best cookies I've ever tasted. The recipes are "her little secret', so she won't give it up. Does anyone have a recipe for vegan chocolate chip or oatmeal and raisin cookies??? And where can I find the ingredients? THANKS!!!

200 Grams Vegan Margarine*

1 1/2 Cups Demerera or Brown Sugar

Equivalent of 1 Egg Using Egg Replacer

2 Tbsp Water

1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

2/3 Cup Flour

1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon

1/2 Tsp Salt

1/2 Tsp Baking Soda

3 Cups Quick Oats

1 1/2 Cups Raisins

*Note: Some margarines contain animal products such as whey, milk ingredients and animal fat. Please keep this in mind when shopping.

Cream margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add egg replacer mixture, and beat again. Add water and vanilla.

Sift dry ingredients together and mix well into wet mixture. Add oats and raisins, and stir.

Form cookies into small balls and place on greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 15 mins, until edges are done. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
