My sister had this about a year ago. She went from 300 pounds to 130. She can't eat of course but, she never did crave eating.
IE: At McDonald's, she would order a cheese burger and eat one bite, she was full.
She also stopped her diabetes injections, her high blood pressure pills her hypertension pills and several others she was taking.
She's in good spirits and feels much better with life.

I have not had it personally, but I do have friends and family around me have it done, some did do the "Big Surgery" the others did the lap band and watching on both sides of the fence post, i would highly recommend the lap band, I have a friend who did this 6 months ago and has lost 75 pounds, she has had very little discomfort, after she had it put in she stayed over night in the hospital, just because we live in a very small rural town, next day she said she was a light soreness nothing very big at all, you have to go in 3 times to get your fill and the surgery cost 15,000.00 from start to end. And if you get to the point where you do not want this any more all you have to do is to take it and it doesn't hurt your body in anyway. I hope this helps, and I do have to say if you have to travel down this road do take the lap band way, there are local and free seminars at your local hospital, for both procures, do alot of research first on both and see what suits you the best, Good luck and I'll keep you in my prayers.

I had it... it was the best decision in my life... I have lost weight according to all expectations.
BUT, very important, remember that Gastric Bypass is 25% of the solution.... you have to change your lifestyle, you have to exercise and you have to prepare your mind to eat right...
Gastric Bypass is NOT a quick fix, it is part of a system... a VERY effective one !
