you need to nothing sit relaxed,
rest the lab people will take care,
testing with sample will be done by them,
after the donation you need to sit in the lab for atleast 15 minutes.(you will be given some food to eat like biscuits etc).
its good to donate blood once in sixmonths.
this helps us also.

It's a good move from your side. Donating your blood helps other people who are in need of blood while having a surgery or those who have had an accident who have had too much blood loss. You can go to the Blood Bank. There they will screen and check out that your blood is a healthy one with no diseases or hiv virus. Then you can just lie down and relax while they insert a needle connected to a catheter into a sealed plastic container. You need not worry. By donating blood, your body produce new clean blood which also helps your body to stay healthy.

you don't do nothing just lay there and do it. takes only minutes to do. i used to give pint in 7 minutes but i would make it run faster intot he container. i learned how to do this but when you are diabetic you hae to find out which meds you can't take 3 days before giving.
