They act as though animals 'feelings' and 'suffering' are equally imortaint as humans.

Should i take offense to that because they are saying we are no better than animals? IN FACT, some of these people regard animal rights ABOVE human rights.

People equate emotions to many animals. Why do people love their dogs? People cannot fathom that a cow or pig can feel pain or fear, yet try and bbq Rover and watch how many people get angry. We keep animals as pets because we believe they love us(most people do not have dogs for just work anymore). How many people say "I have a dog because he/she gives me unconditional love."

I don't think people are any better or worse than animals. Every living thing on earth goes about their life for a reason(to live). Humans are very egocentric in their beliefs that they are the be all and end all of everything. We are just another creature on this planet.

The suffering of anything is important. All creatures suffer, elephants have been known to morn their lost relatives. Killer whales can create strategies for hunting prey. Parrots can recognize colors, shapes, etc if taught. Primates have be known to seek out companionship, and remember people they have not seen in years.

To think people are the only creature that can have emotions is ridiculous. There is nothing that really separates people from any other animal(just their belief/hope that they are supreme)

Animals are made with the same nerve endings and senses that we are. They experience pain, happiness, sadness, anger, jealousy, etc. Whatever pain and suffering we feel, they can feel too. We are all creatures living together on this earth, why should anyone's pain and suffering be held in higher regard just because of their position in the food chain? I think we are all equal. Everyones' feelings and suffering are REAL and equally important. There are no need for quotes around feelings and suffering. Suffering/pain/feelings in animals are a FACT.

I believe ALL suffering is intolerable.
I know seven vegetarians and three vegans as friends. Out of those people, seven of them donate to humanitarian charities. Four of them actually work for Amnesty International.
There are always a few bad seeds in a group of people. Yes, maybe some animal-rights people will say socially unacceptable things, but then, some meat eaters will say socially unacceptable things.
I don't understand why you are so threatened by us. Go stick a tofu-burger in your gullet and leave us alone.

Animals do feel pain and do suffer and it is our right to protect them from harm. No one even humans should have to suffer we should treat every living creature with respect. I have more respect for animals then humans. Humans lie, cheat, hurt and abuse each other. I wouldn't take offense to it at all, People who treat animals well usually treat humans pretty well too. Also in America we can speak for ourselves but animals cant and somebody has to be their voice.

No I don't know.

maybe because they feel the need to?

this is a pretty ******* stupid question man.

what is it you are actually asking?

you would have to go out, track all the people down who have the standpoint you mentioned, interview them all and find out why.

how are people supposed to know why other people do and think things?

im starting to think your mentally challenged in some way.

People are animals. Most may be smarter than other animals, but it doesn't mean they are better or more important. If that's true, then smarter people should be more important than dumber people.

Look up the word "equivicate", because I don't think there's such a word.

If you meant "equivocate", then look it up, just the same. It doesn't mean what you think it does.

"Imortaint" doesn't exist, either. Maybe if you ate less meat, you'd spell better.
