There's so many different veggie burger brands available at most grocery stores these days. Wondering which is best? While these are my personal favorites, you may be looking for something else in a veggie burger, so, if you find that you don't like the first one you try, make sure to try another brand until you find one that suits your tastes.

Boca Burgers Roasted Onion Flavor
Who doesn't love the smell of mushrooms and onions on the grill? Boca brand Roasted Onion veggie burgers are a hearty and flavorful veggie burger that definitely stands out above the rest and comes in a regular and organic version. My only complaint about the Boca Roasted Onion flavor is that not enough stores carry it!

VEGGIE BURGERS

2 c. rolled oats
1 1/2 c. grated carrots
1/2 c. diced string beans
1/2 c. cabbage, diced
1/2 c. broccoli, diced
1/2 c. mushrooms, diced
1/2 c. onions, diced
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. tamari
1 clove garlic, diced
3 tbsp. flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil
Cheese

Mix all the ingredients together, shape into patties. Heat some oil in a skillet, brown patties on both sides. Place in a baking pan and bake 25-30 minutes. Top with a slice of Cheddar cheese 5 minutes before done. Great with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and the works.


Lots of chopping to make these but are very good.

I'm partial to Boca Veggie Burgers. I've tried all of the brands available and as far as the "burger" is concerned, to me Boca tastes the best. Boca carries a couple different types of burgers, but the "Flame Grilled" version is the tastiest. If you like cheese on your burger...have you ever tried the Soy version of American Cheese? It tastes just like the regular brand of American Cheese! I add it and create my own Veggie Cheese Burger! Delicious!
(If your local grocery store does not carry it, you should be able to request it.)
I have some in the fridge and would be glad to whip you up a burger if you would like to try one! ;-)

I like this question, I live off of those veggie burgers. I would have to say morning star farms has the best so I would go with the garden veggie, so good.

I really like the Sunshine Burger. They are made with fresh, natural, organic ingredients (just sunflower seeds, brown rice, carrots, water and salt). They have a nice nutty flavor and a lot of protein. In addition to eating them burger-style, I've also crumbled them up and added them to chili, spaghetti sauce, etc.
I've only tried the plain flavor but they also come in bbq and southwestern. I found them after realizing that most of the other big-name veggie burgers you see out there are full of junk, not whole, natural ingredients--take a look at the label sometime and try to pronounce half of the artificial flavorings and preservatives in one of the "fake meat" style burgers. I buy Sunshine Burgers at Whole Foods because, unfortunately, it is still hard to find them elsewhere.

I have to agree with the dude with the hat, boca's are the best! Although the hospital I work at has great veggie burgers too...with whole water chestnuts in them, I love 'em but I have no idea what brand they are!!

I love Dr. Praeger's--they're vegetable-based, not just mock meat, plus the company has something for pretty much any dietary need (vegan, gluten-free, Kosher for Passover). I buy them at Trader Joe's, but my local Costco and some kosher grocery stores have them as well.

Trader Joe's used to have a wonderful Indian-inspired vegetable burger (Karma burgers, I think?), but I don't know if they still carry them.

The tomato, basil, pizza burgers are the best, Morning star and boca make them. Sometimes they are hard to find, but soooo good!
