Among many other symptoms caused by diabetes , which I am sure you are familair with, such as renal problems, retinopathies, vascular problems, infections of the lower limbs, there are what are called neuropathies: general pain in part or all of the body. The fact that you take insulin has nothing to do with it. The root cause is an affection of part of the nerves. Please keep taking your insulin, try to eat small meals 4 times a day and with the experience and your glucose measuring kit, you will soon know the correct dosis. As for the pain you will have to take analgesics which your doctor will prescribe, but I would stay away from acetyl salicylic acid (Aspirin) if you do not want to damage your stomach. All the best.

Insulin should'nt make your body hurt like that. I to have diabetes and am 29 years old. I only take the pill and some days my body aches so bad i cant even get out of bed. I think it's from when the blood sugar gets to high, it make you have severe headaches and makes your muscles hurt all the time. Plus, I get sharp pains in my feet and hands. The doctor told me the pain will go away once I get used to my sugar going high. Well, I say, " Ofcourse I will get used to it. A person can get used to anything if they have to live with it for long enough. If this doesn't help plz, consult a doctor.

Being a diabetic; you should consult your doctor to make sure everything is alright. I don't think the insulin has anything to do with it unless the insulin is spoiled or something. Have you checked your insulin date to see if it is still good? Is it the right color? Clear. Is your blood sugar count within the normal range?
Could you have the flu?
Take care.

I would think if your bloodsugars are staying elevated for too long, yes.
Although, it could be other things. I have CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and the symptoms are much like someone with diabetes. Others complain similar with Fibromyalgia. With CFS I almost always feel like a freight train ran me over. But, through educating myself, I deal. Get with a good Endocronolist for the Diabetes (not a family doc!! You should always go with a specialist for diabetes).

I take pills for mine, so not sure if your insulin could be causing it. There are times when I feel like I've had the living crap beat out of me, and just feel run down. I would suggest talking with your endocrinologist/diabetic doctor about this. they could better tell you what to expect.
