i'm sure there are... find out about it in your area.. look online and see if there's vegetarian friendly places...

most resturaunts do service vegetarians... vegans.. but be careful, you're mostly stuck with the garden salads... because they're safer... some places make claims but they cook it along with the other food.

that kind of takes away all that effort in looking for a place that will service you.

some places that had vegetarian menues... were caught cooking the foods along with the other foods.. they had to change.. i'm unsure about those places where i live.. i got weary of them, can't trust them.

i must eat plain old vegan or my digestive system suffers badly.

with new people moving in seems we are getting a huge vegan community... that may help.

if where you live if vegan isn't in or popular you'll have a tough time.

but look online... read any reviews and any health inspections or curiosities in the papers and online papers just in case you find a few who are friendly to veggies and vegans... and see if they've been good to their customers.

or when you go in.. ask to have something vegetarian.. without the oils.. fancy stuff... plain.. that'll simplify it just in case they don't cater.

SO so many...how many depends on your area though. Zen Palate and Maoz are two that I know if in NYC, but I think they're chains. Whole Foods' buffet also has lots of vegetarian and vegan food.

YES!
You can check out http://HAPPYCOW.net and http://www.VEGGUIDE.org/ and see if anyone's added info on restaurants near you.

In So Cal we have a TON. I just today wrote down info on a place called THE VEGGIE GRILL in Irvine that I want to try this week. There's NATIVE FOODS with locations in Palm Springs, Costa Mesa, and Hollywood (they might have more). Those are ALL VEGAN places, BTW. Aren't we lucky???

I even just found a vegan bakery in San Diego. Hooray for all the awesome vegans out there who are sticking their necks out there and showing people how delicious non-animal food is and making it so much nicer for us!
