yea, eating to much sugar and it is especially risky if it runs in the family so those kids should be extra careful.

Okay the most common MYTH about diabetes is that it is caused by eating too much sugar, (Type 1) when in reality it is a symptom of it. People who already have the disease have insatiable cravings for sugar because their body is literally starving because it can not process food, due to the pancreas not producing the insuling to stablize blood sugar.
Type 1 Diabetes has two factors involved: Genetic predispostion AND and environmental factor which triggers the body to start attacking it's own insulin producing cells. That environmental factor is still unknown. It could be a virus, foods, chemicals etc. No one knows what the "trigger" is. So there is nothing you can do to prevent getting Type 1.
Type II is different though. Lack of exercise, eating poorly, genetics etc. can all lead to developing it. There is a VAST difference between these two types of diabetes. Only 10% of all diabetics have Type 1.
Here are some symptoms of Type 1 (which is life-threatening and must be managed with insulin)
Extreme thirst, urinating a lot, very tired all of the time, extreme sugar cravings.
There are so many misconceptions and confusion about Diabetes. Most people are not aware of the different types. Plus it's not good for anyone to eat too much sugar, diabetic or not, they are empty calories and provide NO nutrients to the body . . .

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Kids are diagnosed with diabetes which is thought to be genetic (type I) or through poor diet/exercise practice (type II). There is nothing in particular that you could eat to "get" diabetes. Do some independent research, you'll find your answers and you will learn that Type II diabetes is a completely different disease from Type I (what a 'kid' would most likely be diagnosed with). Just because eating candy and energy drinks doesn't cause diabetes, I would still take everything in moderation.

Type 1 diabetes — once known as juvenile diabetes — is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin, a hormone needed to convert sugar (glucose) into energy. Although type 1 diabetes can develop at any age, it typically appears during childhood or adolescence.
Type 2 diabetes was once a condition confined to adults. But type 2 diabetes in children is on the rise, fueled largely by the current obesity epidemic. This increasingly common condition presents special challenges for parents and children alike.

If you don't want to get a diabetes, you have to plan your meal well; don't eat something excessively (especially sugar, white rice, white flour, durian, mango, ripe banana, etc.) and excercise routinely, and eat cherries or red-coloured fruit since they have anthocyanine that prevent diabetes.
