Yes, I can imagine families queuing up to see their loved ones being mangled into fish food.
It would be very moving.

Not a bad idea, but for me a better solution would be to accelerate decomposition in the ground, and not have wooden coffins or stone markers, so that lots more people could be buried in the same place.
I am moved by your sensitivity, wanting to place the body GENTLY into the shredder before chopping it to pieces..
But would all grinders be as sensitive as you ? They might also be tempted to pop in a few extra bodies if nobody was looking..
Cremation wastes the body, which is much more useful in the ground decomposing than as quantities of ash and gas.
It also produces heat and gas the planet could well do without - not a good use of fuel.
I like the (Pharsee?) tradition of placing the body on a platform for the vultures to consume - now that's what I call recycling !

Beau,
I can just envisage the scenario.
The preist or whatever says suitable words such as "we now commit his/her body to the almighty shredder"
Feetabix. Or Flesh & Fibre.
Being of a nautical nature, I would not mind my bodily particles, once finished with, being given to the creatures of the deep. Better than a hole in the ground.
So when someone goes to the chippy, they are eating a peice of me. I think that JC coined that one.
or was it KFC ?
Whatever !

Our vet. said he wanted to be fed to the sharks when he dies. I'll show him your question. He said he would give himself just enough sedation if he was dying of something gruesome and jump overboard. [true]
