You are like us all diabetes testing can be a bore and we all get a bit depressed having to live with this medical problem
But remember there is always some one else that is worse off than you or me ,so be glad that this is all you suffer from
One way is to make your self a blood sugar graph and each day try and get the readings lower as you are with exercises etc,With a colour graph you see the levels easily.Test your self when you get up and then b4 or after each meal
The other incentive is as you have said ,want to avoid damage from diabetes, Try and think what it would be like to be blind or crippled due to nerve damage

One thing you didn't mention is whether or not you have actually been diagnosed as being diabetic. I have been diagnosed and my doctor has me checking my blood sugar three days a week. How often does your doctor want you checking your blood sugar.....? If you are borderline and trending downward there is probably no need to check your sugar more often especially if you have not been diagnosed. If you have been diagnosed follow your doctor's orders.

Hi Nancy,
Whats up? Hey don't worry about that, because what ever happens happens for good, you know?God love's people who bare his punishments with patience...
Eat healthy food, don't take fatty foods or sugar, eat more vegetables like leafy, green and red colored ones, also eat fish,be happy and always smiling because life is beautiful...
Always listen to good music, pray to god,go for a holiday etc
Hey,i think there is a diabetes calculatar, ask your doctor about that, you can check by your self with that and no need to go to the doctor always.....
♥ Hugs ♥

A doctor can do a lab test from a blood draw that can tell you how well your blood sugar has been maintained over a couple of months. It's more accurate than your standard daily capillary blood glucose.

If you are borderline once a day or every other day should be plenty. Just keep an eye on it.

You might visit a hospital or nursing home and take a look at all the people who have lost limbs and are in wheelchairs from not taking care of the diabetes.

Go to the morgue and take pictures of dead bodies. Paste them somewhere in your room so that you will see them everyday.
