We are getting married on Sept. 9. This is the menu that I have put together for the celebration dinner. I had to make a couple of changes because my fiance's guests have decided to contribute an entree of lamb, which I guess will be barbecued, as well as a rice dish and maybe something else. Is there anything that you think should be changed or added to this menu... We will be having 40-50 guests... Waiting for your feedback... Thanks!

You are right, we are not serving any alcohol and no pork since they are prohibited for some guests... don't want to offend any one, not only that but I don't want anyone tipping back a few too many (lol!)

Also there is not really a theme and we are prepping everything ourselves, so I just tried to think of some things that wouldn't be too hard to fix, and would give everyone some variety because we are having a REALLY mixed crowd of guests (black, white, Asian, Latino, and Middle Eastern, mostly 25-45)....

if there are young children attending...i dont think they'd go for the shirmp, salmon, goat cheese, vegtables, almonds in the green beans, or the lamb...but thts becuz they are little kids so if you have some young ones attending it might be a good idea to have something basic for them.

I think everything compliments each other nicely. The only thing is, you're haveing two different salads and green beans and potatoes. Do you really need to have the veggie tray? Maybe make it a cheese tray... but keep the hummus and chips. Then the guests can put the cheese on the chips. Good luck with your wedding and congratulations!!

I would take the salmon off the appetizer list & stick it as part of the entrees. So you would have a fish dish,a chicken dish & a lamb dish. You never mentioned dessert. Besides the wedding cake ,I would put the fruit salad and cream, for a choice for people who may be either on a diet or are diabetic. Good luck.

It sounds great. Lamb is typically roasted, but I don't know about their particular Egyptian dish. I love goat cheese, so don't change that.
I might would add some cheese to the vegetable tray, and have you considered if you have any vegetarian guests? That might be the only reason to change what you already have.

All this sounds very nice,...if I were to offer a suggestion or reminder, don't forget Lemon wedges, for your shrimp, salmon, salads, lamb, and the ice tea, juice, punch, & iced water. You would do well to have plenty on hand and cut in dishes strategicaly placed throughout you serving line.
You may even consider lemons for some finger bowls, as you are speaking of BBQ Lamb.
Yummy,...Tell me when you need to get rid of the left overs :o)

You menu sound lovely. If you know all the people who are attending eat meat, then you are OK. If you have anyone who is vegetarian, then you should have a substantial veggie main dish of some sort. Also, make sure and have bread or rolls and butter.
Congratulations on your wedding. Whatever you decide, I know it will be beautiful.

If you're having egyptian dishes and chicken, I think the seafood is just not too good to be mixed with it.... And I also think there's something sweet missing there, the chocolate-coated strawberries that the other bride-to-be mentioned sound just sooooo good!!! It's a great idea to add to your menu.

Only thing I can come up with, is to keep in mind that once in a blue moon you will come up with a vegan or perhaps a picky child. You may add a few VERY simple and somewhat plain dishes to suit them. Otherwise, it sounds deliciuos and beautiful.
By the way....VERY best of wishes to you and yours and the families as well.

Sounds fantastic...you have a nice blend of Western and Middle eastern food, and some mediterranean to bring the two together.

Might want to add some good quality lebanese baklava to the appetizers (if you don't want any deserts)

Nice!
