Stress does not have have a significant impact on blood glucose (sugar). If your niece's glucose was 'very high' it means one of two things: 1 something such as a serious infection or other metabolic disorder has increased her glucose, or 2 she does indeed have diabetes. Between the two possibilities diabetes is more likely. There are two types of diabetes type 1 and type 2. At age 24 she may have either one. If she is lean (body mass index less than 25 kg/m2) type 1 is more likely. If she is obese (body mass index more than 30 kg/m2) then type 2 may be more likely. I know that this is a very great concern to you and the prospect that your niece has diabetes will no doubt add to your concerns. The only positive thing that I might say is that in the last 5 years our ability to treat diabetes has made several quantum leaps forward. I wish your niece the very best of health and may God bless.

Yes, she most certainly can have Diabetes at age 24. Having a family history of Diabetes predisposes her to getting Diabetes Type 2. If she is overweight, that is an additional factor that would predispose her to developing it.

Diabetes used to be broken up into 2 categories called Juvenile Diabetes and Adult-Onset Diabetes. Professionals no longer use those terms. The reason for this is that obesity among children has become an epidemic in the U.S., so many, many children are developing Type 2 Diabetes. Also, many adults are developing Type 1 Diabetes, for reasons that are speculated upon but not truly understood as yet.

Stress can not CAUSE Diabetes; but if you have Diabetes, stress will raise the glucose levels.

You didn't say how high her glucose level was last night. But the doctors can easily do a test to definitively tell whether or not she has Diabetes. It's a simple blood test called a hemoglobin A1c test. The A1c test will tell how her glucose levels have been doing for the past 3 months. She should not be over 6%. If they haven't done that test yet, ask them to do it; this way you will know one way or another.

Best of luck to you and your niece.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

once ur blood sugar is high reaching the diagnostic level of DM the patient will be labeled as diabetic (one reading is enough)
u r saying it was too high so most probably it reached that level ....... sorry ur niece is diabetic
or she could be an impaired blood sugar which is a reading in between i mean not normal and not diagnostic of DM and this is unlikely bcz u said her blood sugar was VERY high
STRESS is just a factor, it can help and trigger but not cause DM why? bcz simply DM is multifactorial u require genitics, environmental....etc
about age people can have DM at any age but 24 year is not a common age for DM usually younger ppl 7-15 have the type 1 and older ppl at 40ts and 50ts have type 2

For healthy person, No. But, if someone is diabetic, specially class I, Yes. And according to your family history and the age of your niece, she is most probably Diabetic Class I ( Insulin Dependent Diabetes ).
