i would never try to change the company doing things ON THE FIRST DAY it might not be a very smart thing to do. i would wait until they know you.

you should hold your self esteem as normal.
keep your voice heard, try to be open minded as much as you can. don`t care about them feedback because you become a competitor to them Right there.
