HI
I think you must be a smoker plus you didnt treat your bronchitis quickly.

see your doctor and take strong antibiotics like 500mg 3 times a day,
try also to inhale above hot boiled water with some vicks baum, then cover yourself a lot you have to sweat a lot all night (very unconfortable) and the following day go to a sauna for at least 10 minutes at a time 3-4 times and go back home (dont forget to dry very well your hair and wear a hat when you go home, rest and sleep with a lot of blanket again sweat.
avoid completely smoking, aerosol spray any artificial perfums for a while and you should be ok after a few days if not you should consider to see a specialist.

good luck and let me know if it worked for you

Because speech and the voice are more in my area, that's going to be the focus of my answer. However, your cough could be the result of a number of different factors, and the first thing you should really do is see your local GP.

You might also want to think about whether you've had any changes to the quality of your voice- is it harsher, strained, hoarse, or of a lower/higher pitch? The reason for your persistent cough (or as a result of it) could be that you've developed some sort of irritation/growth on your vocal folds. The best thing to do would be to see your GP and ask for a referral to an Ear Nose and Throat Doctor. They'll be able to do a flexible endoscope of your vocal folds and see if any changes have occurred.

I suppose it's just common sense, but I would recommend some good cough medicine (for the time being). I take the Kroger generic brand of Dayquil, because I also have a very annoying cough. It isn't as severe as yours, however. But I have had it literally for seven months now! It is partially my fault for not taking care of this by seeing my doctor. But I am seeing the doctor next week, and will bring it to her attention that I need antibiotics or something to kill this cough.

Please go see your doctor about it. You may need antibiotics. But be careful, because if you take antibiotics for too long, your body may develop immunity against them.

Also, you could gargle with salt water. Put some salt into some tap water, and gargle with it. It may help.

Good luck! God bless.

circulate returned to the physician. even however he prescribed meds, in the event that they do no longer artwork, which potential yet another process action needs to be taken. A persistant cough ought to be something minor (my little ones and that i'm getting what starts out as allergic reactions, will become a sinus an infection, then a chilly that settles in our chests, maximum appropriate to a cough that would final an prolonged time), yet a persistant cough is often a demonstration of a extreme sickness which includes lung maximum cancers, TB, pneumonia, and so on. in case you do no longer sense like your physician is competant, locate somebody else, yet do no longer assume that because you went to the physician one time and tried one process therapy that a circulate to to the physician would purely be a waste.

I had something exactly like that which must have lasted a month or so in June. If you ever do cough something up, don't swallow it. Gob it out. It'll probably be this yellow brown gunk. Mine only started getting better when I adopted that policy. You have my sympathies for having to put up with it for that long.

Sounds like bronchitis to me. I had the same symptoms like you, and didn't feel that bad overall, no fever or anything else,so I tried to wait it out. Finally went to a dr., and it was bronchitis.
