Unfortunately it does....everything affects blood sugars....sucks!

Yes, if you are under extreme amounts of stress, your blood sugar levels can definitely go out of wack.

I think it would work the other way. Too much stress can cause a decrease in blood sugar.

Absolutely! I was doing so well (changed my eating habits) and things got nutty with work. My blood sugar shot up.

I do so love when the doctors say - just don't stress out. Gee thanks! But stress WILL make your blood sugar rise, that's a given.

Any kind of emotional stress will significantly change your readings where more insulin is needed or at least it did with my daughter who was a Type I diabetic. She now has a pancreas and kidney transplant and is no longer diabetic.

a paramedic friend just told me over time of few days yes severe stress can cause some glucose problems. increase or decrease or other probs.

I think they do, when i get stressed i always go up in my levels, also when i get sick my levels always go down. ( i am a diabetic )

Yes anything that affects the body chemically can cause this abnormality.
