over the counter cough medicine contain very low level of dextromethorphan so its not possible, if taken in at proper dose without any "manipulations".
In order to get high, one must extract the active ingredient, dextromethorphan and drink ALOT (approx. 2 bottles).

some over the counter medicine can cause you to feel drowsy/high if it contains alcohol. prescribed cough medication sometimes contain codeine which is a relative of morphine so that will definately get you high..
