For the last few days, every time I stand up or try to walk or do anything, my heart races and I get dizzy. I am dizzy all the time and get headaches as well. Any ideas?

It could be any number of things like low blood pressure, thyroid problems, anemia, etc. See your doc for a blood test.

The main thing that increases a person's heart rate is sympathetic nervous system control. When you stand up from a lying or sitting position, you could be experiencing orthostatic hypotension. Your body's defense is to trigger a reflex which will increase your heart rate. To prevent this, you have to stand up from bed or sitting position gradually often moving your legs so as to circulate the pooled blood from your legs to the rest of the body.
During activity, since ones metabolism is increasing, the heart rate is usually faster. If you say that your heart rate is very fast and that you are dizzy then it could be a sign of atrial fibrillation, a conditionwherein your heart muscle is not contracting effectively. I ADVICE YOU TO SEE A DOCTOR SO HE CAN DO CERTAIN LAB TESTS TO SEE IF YOU HAVE A CARDIAC PROBLEM.
