Yes, it's high. Check it everyday and if it remains high, you may not have a choice. HBP is a silent killer. That's no longer considered borderling high. Borderling high is now 120/70 which used to be good numbers. If you ask your doctor, they will tell you that the average BP has been around 111/60.

The 7th joint national committee (JNC7), the guideline setters for hypertension, states that a bp>140/90 taken at 2 separate occasions is categorized as HTN-I. A BP of >160/100 is stage II HTN. What you should do is re-check your blood pressure, preferably by a trained medical person, and when you are not stressed out (like after a long walk or climbing stairs). The good news is diet and lifestyle modifications can reduce your blood pressure. You have to stay away from salty and fatty foods and exercise regularly. Visit your local health center for more info. :-)

You need to follow up with your primary care doctor. However your blood pressure is high the standard should be 120 for the top number and 80 for the bottom number. Now it also depends on what you were doing, eating ect.. I reccomend you monitor your pressure for one week take it in the morning, afternoon, and before bedtime if all readings are elevated from the normal of 120/80 then contact your M.D

Yes, that is hypertension. You don't necessarily have to take meds but you will need to change your diet and start exercising, if u don't already. And if you smoke cigarettes, stop.
You'll need to limit your intake of caffeine and sodium. Other things are supplements that will help like garlic and hawthorn capsules.
For exercise, you need a cardio workout like on a treadmill, elliptical or recumbent bike. You will want to work up to 30 min/day at least 4 days a week and a moderate pace. You may have to start on a slow pace and 10-12 minutes but stick with it and your time and pace will increase.
Good luck!

The bottom number is high. You don't want a prolonger effect of what that dammage will cause to you body and it will have a great impact later in life. Take your BP again and a few more times at the drug store and make sure that the bottom number is below 90 if not you do want to see a doctor and take some medications.

you have high blood pressure problem which is in medical terms called hypertension.
it is recommendable to start taking medicines to control it .take juices in your diet .
don't eat that food which is hot in nature egg, mangoes etc.
avoid taking tension.
increase your sleeping hours
like 7-8 hours night sleep and after noon sleeping would be between 1-2 hours.
i hope you will take medicines prescribed by doctors along with recommendable diet.
hypertension if persistent causes malfunctioning of kidneys, causes chronic heart diseases because his would shrink your blood vessels/veins.or causes engina
so if you will take medicines perhaps you will get rid of it
definately you will.
it is also seen that those who have high blood pressure problem consistently they feel very strange like have hypotension when blood pressure comes to normal level.
so be careful.
it is not a big trial
not a sacry thing do walk in the garden , try to do swimming early in the morning.
try to avoid any conflict with any person
try to keep yourself relax.
you will get rid of this problem forever.
be brave.

Big time. Have you talked with your doctor about it? You know they want you to change your diet, your life, kill your neighbor and much much more! lol Can't they just prescibe something and let us live! lol Seriously, it is important for you to keep it under control. I should talk, mine was about that the other day, but I'm 54. Weight control, diet/excercise etc. I'm sure you know the drill. Well might as well get started. You and me both.
