i cant find any rashes and there's no spots in the back of my throat. also, the back hasn't changed color. i do have a sore throat, coughing, and my head is filled with pressure. but no headache. i've heard it could be a sinus inffection with a sore throat but i'm not sure.

Trust me.... if you had strep you would KNOW. It hurts like you wouldn't believe, you can't swallow without wanting to die, even breathing hurts.
"I do have a sore throat" sounds like it's not the worst pain your throat has ever felt, meaning it's not strep, because strep is.. the worst pain your throat has ever felt.
Hope you get better!

Does'nt sound love it. The typical signs of strep throat comprise: a million. Severe and surprising sore throat with out coughing, sneezing, or different bloodless signs. two. Pain or challenge with swallowing. three. Fever over a hundred and one F; (scale back fevers might point out a viral contamination and now not strep.) four. Swollen lymph nodes within the neck. five. White or yellow spots or coating at the throat and tonsils. 6. Bright pink throat or darkish pink spots at the roof of the mouth on the again close the throat. 7. Swollen tonsils, even though this symptom can also be brought about through a viral contamination. (In teens, mononucleosis can reason a extreme sore throat that appears like and has signs very similar to the ones of strep throat.) eight. It is handy to inform if in case you have a sore throat or a bloodless. It is tougher to understand if in case you have strep throat. Generally, sore throats are brought about through a viral contamination and now not strep micro organism. Strep throat normally does now not arise with bloodless signs similar to coughing, sneezing, or a runny or stuffy nostril. The extra bloodless signs you've, the fewer most probably it's that your sore throat is a strep contamination. nine. In a few circumstances of strep contamination, a epidermis rash develops and spreads over the neck and chest and ultimately over the entire frame. The rash feels hard like sandpaper. This situation is known as scarlet fever. Scarlet fever is handled with antibiotics, which normally result in a rapid healing. Scarlet fever isn't unsafe if handled.

The only way to know is to go to a doctor.
I had 2 strains of strep throat one time, and the ONLY symptom I had was extreme fatigue. No fever, no sore throat, nothing like that. I went in because I would sleep 12 hours or more and still feel like I hadn't had any sleep. This went on for a week or so before I went to the doc about it, and they figured out it was strep throat.
Having said that, it could be a sinus infection, or just a sore throat.
Go to your regular doctor and have some tests run to find out.

You have to get your throat swabbed and have it checked. Strep throat can exist with no symptoms. You may have a higher chance of having it if people around you have it. A simple antibiotic can take care of it. Sounds like you need to see a doctor anyway.

when you have strep throat there are little white pus pockets on each side of your throat and you have fever. sounds like you may have a sinus condition.

It sounds like alot of drainage, which can make your throat sore. Get some decongestant and try it. If that does not help go to the doctor.

Strep can't be detected w/o test. Also doesn't usually make you cough or have pressure. It sounds like you need to go to the dr.

Doubtful it's strep. If you have little pus pockets then maybe. Sounds like a cold

Likely not strep, BUT it still could be (esp. if you're prone to it), so don't wait for it to progress before getting a culture.
Bother, huh---my son had it several times during childhood.
