Judging from your question, I would say the cost of a small wedding. The DJ isn't any cheaper than he would be for a wedding, the hall isn't any cheaper, etc. Rentals are not based on the kind of party, or the age of the person the party is for. Unless your parents can afford it, you might want to scale it back some. Look at this site to see if you can't find a party that is more in line with being 16 years old.

the average 16 yr old ...doesnt go to that expense...they have a small b-day get together with out send the parents into debt
