Healthy weight loss is 1 - 2 lb a week, no more. With type 1 diabetes you require insulin injections and need tight control of your blood sugar levels, that is THEE most important thing you can do for your health, so test as your doctor recomends.
You can not cut way back on your normal intake of food as it would put you at risk for serious hypoglycemic episode. Exercise and diet go together, however because any change in diet and exercise can alter your insulin needs you really must make an appointment and disscuss this with your doctor before you start to make any changes to your diet or daily routine.
Some of the things you should already be doing are to eat small frequent meals at regular intervals. Choose whole grain breads and cereals over white bread. Whole grains take longer to digest and will not spike your sugar. Follow your doctors advice regarding the ratio of carbohydrate/ protien/ fats in your diet. Eat from all food groups and when you start an exercise program, start slow. Be sure to take with you something to eat in case you feel your blood sugar dropping too low. Take along glucose tablets, crackers, small container of juice and ALWAYS wear a medical alert bracelet at all times. Test your levels before and after exercise. Try to be very regular with the amount and frequency of your exercise program. These are just some of the things I'm sure your doctor will tell you, but they are by no means all inclusive, so do visit your doctor first and follow his advice and recomendations.
(PS, maybe you and mom could go to Curves or some other gym, or go walking together. You'd be helping each other to better health!!! Everyone benifits from regular exercise. Good luck to you.

For people with diabetes who need to take off some weight, those dietary changes typically involve both calorie and carbohydrate control (and should, of course, be combined with an appropriate exercise plan). A registered dietitian, preferably one who is also a certified diabetes educator (CDE) or is experienced in diabetes care, is an essential resource for learning more about individualized menu planning and good food choices to help you best manage your weight, if necessary, and your diabetes.
The good news is that the best diet for a person with diabetes is really the same kind of healthy eating that is best for everyone. Like the general population, people with diabetes need to focus on whole foods that are high in fiber and nutrient-dense –– meaning, natural nourishment that gives you the most health and nutrition "bang" for your calories "buck." This includes virtually all plant foods, most dairy products, lean meat and poultry, and fish. Conversely, we all need to keep highly processed foods, which are often full of refined flour and sugar, to a minimum.

Your proverbial center? Or, your bodily center? The reply, of direction is dependent now not on which center you imply, however which brain you imply? Referring to the word, "he is misplaced his brain" we will be able to collect that in the event you did lose your proverbial center, you might handiest lose your 'brain' as in, your sanity, relying on what offerings you selected thereafter. With the brain as within the 'ego' the notion procedures that commonly manipulate us, in the event you misplaced your proverbial center , you might most certainly lose your brain because it was once due to the fact then you would not position as a usual human anymore. You'd end up robot, missing empathy, compassion and different human trends that impact the brain and make you human. You might end up a computer, and their minds are whatever fully exceptional. The query might end up, what might be the riding drive of your new state of brain? What might impact your choices? If you supposed wasting your genuine, bodily center... good, then I might say sure and no to wasting your brain, any brain. Yes, due to the fact you might be lifeless. Your frame as you knew it might not be performing on any degree, and for that reason be with out brain. No, due to the fact it's mentioned the 'brain' under no circumstances dies, however overlaps from reincarnation to reincarnation, and is the reason why we deliver a few conduct and recollections by way of, commonly being perceived as genetics, dream states or deja vu. Although it's honestly your spirit or soul that's doing the reincarnating, the soul comes from the only soul that inhabits the whole thing, and so your 'brain' that learns extra with each and every reincarnation is honestly your very individualism. Without it, you're now not you.
