Hi, The nitro glycerine tablet makes the blood vessel expand so you get more blood circulation. Whenever i have any chest pain i take 1 and if that doesn't give me any relief, I'll wait about 15 minutes and take another one. Place the nitro tablet under your tongue and let it slowly dissolve. you may feel a little stinging sensation, but that is normal. I also lay down if i can after i take the nitro tablet for about 15 minutes and i feel good when i get up and the pain is gone. P.S. You won't Blow Up or anything like that, if that's what your worried about.

If you are having chest pains, then the nitro will quickly ease the pain. It works by dialating the blood vessels (opening them up) allowing blood to flow more freely.

If you take a nirto tab it helps decrease your heart rate and blood pressure. Take it is it's prescibed and you are having chest pain. Of course if you're having chest pain and it feels like someone is standing on your chest you should go to the ER right away

No prob, it's not going to explode as you eat it.
But, just don't take more than prescribed, besides that the dilated blood vessels can cause low blood pressure (bad), that may also lead to really killer headaches/migraines which are incredibly painful.

It's not going to hurt you if it was prescribed to you, only help you. And I would definately use it if I had chest pain. Maybe you could talk it over with you doc, they have patches instead of pills. Try that.
