Xenical or Alli (over the counter) does seem to work, but you need to watch your fat intake or the side effects will make you wish you had.

These pills work in the digestive system, not the blood system. They work by inhibiting your body from breaking down some of the fat you eat during a day. They do nothing to your carbs, so you meds can stay the same.

I hope this helps... And if you use them, I hope you listen to what they say about the fat grams per meal. :)

Diet pills are not the answer, as they can cause serious side effects in diabetics who already may have impaired Liver and Kidney functions and other problems. Exercise daily (around 30 minutes) and a sensible diet is the only safe way.

I lost 40 lbs in 2004-5 by cutting down on fats, sugars, cholesterol and by walking or swimming for 30 mins a day). No diet aids or forking out to Jenny Craig etc. My blood pressure, sugar levels and tryglicerides all fell.

i am 57 and female. there is one way to diet and that is keep the mouth closed. if you grave sweets eat some bread peanut butter and jelly you do not have ot use diebetic jelly either if you read the labels sometimes they have more sugar then the regular stuff and other stuff you pick maybe tasting better. then you can eat no fried foods. i fyou must once a week. you eat alot of vegetables and salad. if you need dressing you can use regular its for taste and all food goes into the mouth is sugar so you can do other things use equal when needed instead of sugar. try that and lose you will see if you just try and do a little you will lose weitht causse we lose very fast in this situation.
