An even balance of both. I get tired of washing dishes all the time, however I wanna keep my trash to a minimum.

I always prefer paper plates over washing dishes. I use them probably 90% of the time. The other 10% of the time I use real dishes to make up for being lazy the other 90% of the time.

It all depends on the situation. How many people are you having to feed? Do you have a dish washer? Do you care if you use paper plates? For me, if I'm having a few people for a BBQ, I use plastic plates that you can pick up anywhere, that way if they break it's no loss. And they can go in the dishwasher. But if you're having tons of people over, paper plates are still the way to go, as they're still biodegradable!

Paper plates on occasion, but remember they have to cut down a tree to make them. Wash dishes when you can. There is more water than trees.

That depends on whether you would rather spend all of your time in the kitchen during your party, or be out entertaining your guests. You already have to be in the kitchen making the food, so why would you want to spend more time there after everyone has eaten. Not to mention that paper plates now come in so many styles, colors, and strengths it really doesn't look bad to set them out for your guests. And while you're at it, why not throw in some heavy duty plastic-ware so your clean up is even easier.

depends on your age, if you are living alone, if you are working long hours, if you are serving kids, or if you are talking about having a picnic, etc. in those cases paper plates will work fine.

In all other occasions you need to choose the expensive $25 a dish version for Sundays and holidays, and the $29 per set for weekdays if you are serving an adult member of your family.
