because they have a hearing deficit
without it they cannot hear and develop properly
speech can be effected and they would not be able to tell if they were in danger or someone was calling them
could not hear their lessons ina mainstream school
the same way they would need glasses if they could not see properly

Hearing impairment is not something that is restricted to the elderly.
I have been hearing impaired since the day I was born and I have been wearing hearing aids all my life. I'm 37. I have roughly 40% of normal hearing.
No, I didn't do anything to cause this. It was a congenital birth defect. The same thing happens to many other kids out there. Hearing loss can also happen due to illness or exposure to loud noises (music mainly).
Wearing hearing aids is no different than wearing glasses.
Also, what does this have to do with STDs??

Asking your Doctor is the best route to take once taken colors can be an option for you and the child. We have recently had a family member a child age of 2 go thru the coplin implant, this is where a hearing device is placed between the skin and the skull, it is powered by bat tries she carries around her waist, this child was 100% deaf in both ears, do not know your case, this may be an option as well check again with her or his doctor, our little angel is doing very well with them and she can now say mama and dada,,here's looking to her future!! Good Luck

To hear you idiot. Why else would a parent subject a child to a hearing aid unless they had trouble hearing ? Give me a break. Why do people with eye problems have glasses ? Why do broken bones need a caste ? Why do wheels need tires ? Come on this is just some way for you to ask a dumb question, and now look you get me dumb enough to answer.

Hearing problems aren't confined to the elderly, you know.
(By the way, we heard you the first time.)
