I would just order with light cheese and extra sauce. That's what I do. I don't think it is hypocritical but I just do not want the grease from the pepperoni running onto the rest of the pizza. If I have to pick off the pepperoni, I use paper towels or napkins to mop up the fat and not eat very much of it. Don't you wish they made a veggie pepperoni for commercial use?

Eat what you want how you want to.
It's not hypocritical at ALL however....
It would be a kinda hypocritical if you were going around preaching how many animals were killed to make the pepperoni on your pizza, then buying it and discarding it anyway. (When the buying stops, the killing will too... ever heard that?)
If you simply don't like the texture of it, sure pick it off and throw it away/give it to your dinner mate. Except that it's a waste of food, no biggie.

if you order pepperoni pizza and pick off the pepperoni, not only are you supporting the meat industry, you are also ingesting the rancid meat juices left behind by the red, circular, beastly pepperoni pieces.

I think it's wrong because you might as well eat the pepperoni since you contributed to the reason that animal died to make the meat. But it's your choice =]. I don't do this because I don't like meat even touching my food.
Ordering the pizza with light cheese is a good idea, in my opinion. =]

Why don't you just order a cheeseless pizza with tons of veggies? Or buy/make pizza dough, slather sauce and your fave toppings, and make it yourself? There are veggie pepperoni sticks you can buy to make a vegan pepperoni pizza.

I think they make a phony pepperoni out of soy. Maybe check into that and make your own pizza with less cheese and more sauce?

Don't let other people tell you how to live. By removing all the pepperoni you will have the oil from it still on the pie. It will still give you that good taste with most of the meat gone, Because the oil comes from the pepperoni.

Please don't do that, it just wastes food, wastes your money, and you're going to be eating the meat drippings anyway. Just order it with light cheese next time, and buy some Yves or other meatless pepperonis to put on top. Yum!

I wouldn't, it's like eating a cheese pizza in the same oven they just cooked a big juicy steak in. Cheese pizza with marinated steak juices.
